FG, PwC partner on healthcare reform

The Partner and Head of PwC’s Public Sector Advisory Service, Dr. Bert Odiaka, stated that under the partnership, the organisation would provide the expertise needed to help the ministry to achieve its objectives in the areas of universal health care coverage, capacity  building  and improved standard of health care delivery in the sector.

Odiaka said, “With engagements in every sector of the  industry, PwC has earned the trust and confidence of governments and health care organisations worldwide. We have helped governments with major health reforms and public health policy initiatives. PwC is committed to partnering with the FMOH to help them achieve their objectives.”

He added that the collaboration would include private health sector participation in expanding coverage, while leveraging on existing capacity of  public sector facilities across the country.

However, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, said the discussions with the firm was to address key issues that they were grappling with and welcomed its commitment to the development of the health sector in Nigeria.

Other members of the PwC health services advisory team at the meeting were Ekene Ezeigwe, Gbenga Olatunji and Olufemi Alabi.
